Executive Principal’s Message

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Renad Academy. We are a Qatar Foundation school that supports more than 100 students aged 3 and above, all of whom have a diagnosis of autism. Our mission is to provide a holistic approach to learning, focusing on the development of the whole child, so that they may be best prepared for their future. To achieve this, we apply evidence-based practices and researched strategies, focusing on our students’ abilities and special interests. All students receive both academic and therapeutic support on a daily basis.

Our highly specialized team of teachers, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, and instructional assistants work collaboratively to create and implement unique learning plans for each child. The learning needs and style of each student are carefully planned for, and teaching and therapy are specifically tailored to meet these. A significant focus of our work is equipping students to thrive outside of school and within their community. With this in mind, all students engage in frequent field trips, which enable them to transfer and consolidate their skills beyond the school building.

We particularly value and appreciate our partnership with parents, wider families, and the local community. We observe the most development and growth in our students when school, family, and community work closely together. We provide support through accredited training that enables families to best support their children and the community to gain a greater understanding and acceptance of autism. We work tirelessly to advance autism awareness throughout Qatar and the region and provide support to anyone wanting to learn more about autism.

We are proud of Renad Academy and its impact on the lives of our students, their families, and the community. I dearly hope that we will soon have the opportunity to meet you, and it will be with great pride that we look forward to discussing the work of our wonderful students and amazing staff.

Sincerely,

Matthew P. Campion
